I carry my water bottle with me everywhere. It's one of my most important accessories. All throughout the day I like to steal a sip of water whenever I get a chance. Drinking water is crucial to good health but I'll get into that later.

I like my water super cold. It's kind of a joke in my family how much ice my dad and I put in our glasses and/or water bottles. So I need my water bottle to keep that ice cold all day and Elk Trail Expeditions never lets me down. Not only does it keep your cold beverages cold, for a long 24 hours, but it also keeps your hot beverages hot for 12 hours. So if you swap out your water for some hot coffee or tea, you can rely on these bottles to keep it hot for the day.

Elk Trail Expeditions bottles come in four different color; gray, blue, white, and black. Personally, my fave is the blue because it is such a beautiful dark navy blue and is more of a statement. The white is such a classic, you simply can't go wrong with it. The gray is a nice dark charcoal and the black is the perfect pitch black that can match any outfit. And yes, I do like to make sure my water bottle goes with me fit.

There are also three different caps that come with the bottles. There is the wide mouth sport flask lid, the wide mouth sport grip handle, and the wide mouth straw lid. So the water bottle can adjust to your personal preferences. Typically, I like the side mouth straw lid for more of an everyday, easily accessible use. While the other two sport lids I use more for when I am working out.

Now let's talk about why it's so important to drink water. Here are just a few reasons according to Medical News Today:

  • Boosts Your Energy

  • Lubricates Your Joints

  • Improves Skin Health & Beauty

  • Regulates Body Temperature

  • Detoxes the Body

  • Digestive System Depends on Water

  • Helps with Weight-loss

  • Can Impact Brain Structure and Function

  • Helps Reduce Impact of a Hangover

How much do you need to drink? We've all heard 8 ounces a day but the advice out there varies and to be honest there is no concrete scientific evidence on the exact amount. Thirst should definitely guide you but there are a lot more factors to consider. Here's a good article to help you figure out what's best for your body.
